The school is a coeducational junior high started under the new system after the war. We will be celebrating our 50th anniversary in 1998.
"Youngsters, be pure, lively, proud, and abundant." This phrase is included in the school song, and best describe the ideal of the school.
To achieve the above phrase is the first step towards Keio's objectives which its founder, Yukichi Fukuzawa, put up. The objectives include "the source of nobleness" and "the model of knowledge and virtue".
We try to grow people who are not only knowledgeable but noble enough to attract public sympathies.
