Hachijo-jima island is at about 290 km south of Tokyo. It is about 10 hours on surface or 40 minutes by air to get here. Shaped like a bottle gourd, with population of about 10 thousands, the island enjoys warm climate, beautiful nature and plentiful see food.
Ohkago Junior High is one of the four junior highs on the island, and is a small sized school with a total of 69 students and 16 staff.
Though small in number, each one of the students is energetic, and has personality and potentialities.
