Taisha-cho is a shrine town of Izumo Taisha, the symbol of the Japanese mythical country "Izumo". Its population is some 17,000.
The town is famous for its tourist spots surrounding the shrine and a cape, and also for its agriculture and fishery.
Junior High School of Taisha is the only junior high in the town with 660 students, and is among those junior highs with outstanding club activities in the prefecture.
It is eight years since we started to invite instructors from the locals, who are, in general, keen on education, to help club activities.
We hope that we start sending out information from the region, soon.
