The school started as Fuchi National School, which was A-bombed on Aug., 9th 1945, and a number of staff and students were killed in the bombing. The bombed school building was pulled down in 1990. A portion of it is set aside and maintained as ruins of Nagasaki A-bomb.
It is natural for us to spend much of our time to peace education which includes peace meetings on 9th of every month.
We intend to build up a space where exchanges of ideas and opinions on peace would take place.
