Doshisha was established in 1875, by Niishima Jo, to "bring up people who could be the conscience of the state".
Doshisha International Junior/Senior High School, inheriting the spirit and tradition from those days, and answering todays needs of internationalization, was established in two stages, senior high in 1980, and junior in 1988.
We accept children of Japanese employed abroad, and help them adapt themselves to the change and expand their personalities.
Ordinary domestic students have also acquired broader sights and better international sense from mixing with these former foreign residents at classes.
