The school has a long tradition of over 100 years since it started as Yamanashi Minamitsuru Dye School in 1896.
We carry out education to bring up well balanced persons under our school motto, "be respectful". We also expect them to become independent, and become capable of forming the driving force to contribute to the growth of the industrial sector to keep up with the changes of the society.
In the inter-high school sports in Yamanashi, held in 1995, sumo wrestling games took place at our school site. We are coeducational, and a quarter of whole students are girls. This helps our school union activities and club activities to be flourishing.
