The school is located in north of Hita which is at the west end of Oita. The school badge is designed to the Hyakunen Sugi, a Japanese cedar, which is famous of its over a hundred years of age. The school has the forestry and the technical courses which is a rare combination in Japan. The forestry course has its underneath the forestry and the forest product industry sub-courses. The technical course has the mechanical, the electric, the architecture and the civil engineering sub-courses.
The club activities are popular here, and many clubs and circles are doing well at regional and national level games and assemblies.
