How to Subscribe

Subscription is automatically done by sending an adequate e-mail.
    To: aimiteno-request@cec.or.jp
    Subject: subscribe

(No entry to the mail body is expected. It should be left blank.)
Please send a copy of the mail above.

How to Unsubscribe

Just the same as how to subscribe, but one word. Please replace "subscribe" in the "Subject:" line with "unsubscribe", and send that mail.

How to Retrieve Past Mails

Past mails can be fetched automatically by sending an adequate e-mail.
    To: aimiteno-request@cec.or.jp
    Subject: archive help

(No entry to the mail body is expected. It should be left blank.)
Please send a copy of the mail above. A help file explaining how to fetch mails will be returned to you.

To actually fetch mails, you would follow the steps below.

  1. search for the mails you need (by commands such as grep)
  2. obtain the mails found (get command)
(For more details, please consult the help file above mentioned.)

Past mails on WWW

Past mails are open on WWW for browsing.

As can be seen from this, the contents of this mailing list are, basically, open to the public.

Forced unsubscription

If a number of mails to a particular member failed to reach in succession, the member is forced to unsubscribe, in other words, the member is unsubscribed by the mechanism of the mailing list without warning.

This is to protect the mail system from a storm of error mails.

Only after the member removes the causes of the error, he should try automatic subscription again.
