Major Specifications

Experiences with personal computers at each school before the project start were examined. Taking the findings into account, a questionnaire was prepared to ask which one of a windows PC or a Macintosh PC was preferable for the client system at each school. A client system was delivered accordingly. The procurement of the client systems followed much the same steps as that of the server systems. IPA announced the major specifications shown below and called for tenders. Three combinations of client systems actually delivered are listed later.

Hardware/Software for Information Dispatch

Six months after the initial delivery, a set of equipment and software for information dispatch were added to the delivery list.
The table below shows the major specifications of that delivery.
