News Group Directives and Membership

Operational Directives

No particular qualifications are required to read and write news stories. Anyone technically competent to participate is welcome. Each news group may clarify its target participants and welcome participation of those interested.

News items will be distributed on demand unconditionally to all schools participating in 100-school Networking Project, as well as to cooperating regional networks and offices. Other parties desiring distribution must apply to the project office, which will post the applications on momo.announce. Whether or not the applications should be accepted will be based on opinions posted during a two-week period following the announcement.

News items may be reproduced in accordance with the provisions of Copyright Law of Japan. Writers of news items are supposed to have permitted the reproduction of their stories when:

• The stories are intended to be privately used within an organization to which they are distributed.
• The stories are based on 100-school Networking Project and are published in academic societies and seminars.

The project office may delete any news which falls in any of the following categories.

• If it is contrary to public order and morals.
• If it is contrary to the objectives of 100-school Networking Project.

Anyone who wants to modify the management policies is requested to indicate his/her opinion on momo.general. The Secretariat will review the opinions displayed during a specific period and correct the policies, if deemed necessary. This period is generally two weeks.
